The 2017 Meursault Les Perrières 1er Cru presents a light apple blossom, crushed rock and jasmine nose, quintessentially Perrières in style. The palate has a candied opening with orange zest and a touch of peach. Pretty and vibrant, although it does not possess the tension of Comtes-Lafon’s Perrières that preceded it. Drink over the next 12–14 years. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting in Savigny-lès-Beaune.

Meursault Fine Wine

Meursault

Meursault, in Burgundy's Côte de Beaune, is famed for its rich and complex Chardonnay wines. Known for opulent textures, vibrant acidity, and nutty, buttery flavours with notes of stone fruits, citrus, and hazelnuts, these wines also feature a subtle minerality and creamy mouthfeel from limestone-rich soils and oak ageing. Though lacking Grand Cru vineyards, Premier Cru sites like Les Perrières, Les Genevrières, and Les Charmes produce exceptional wines. Top producers include Domaine des Comtes Lafon, Domaine Roulot, and Domaine Coche-Dury, all celebrated for showcasing Meursault's unique terroir.
